How is the facing for the Trap determined?
When you conjure the Sentinel Trap into the realm, choose a cardinal direction to be its initial facing. It then rotates from there. If it is teleported, the controller of the teleport effect can choose which cardinal direction it ends up facing.
What happens if the Trap is animated?
The direction it is facing is tracked normally, and is not affected by the Trap's movement or actions.
