If a warded Angel Ascendant fights another minion, the ward will break when the strike happens. So does Angel Ascendant strike for 2 or 3?

It will strike for 3 (with the +1 power from Ward). If the opposing minion somehow struck first (perhaps via a Lance), then the ward would indeed break first and then the Angel Ascendant would only strike back for 2.
